CEM Google Drive Backups
Privacy policy
Effective August 20, 2026
Operator
CEM Google Drive Backups is a private utility operated by CEM. Questions about this policy or the application's use of Google data can be sent to vlad.caliga@gmail.com.
Google data accessed
The application requests the Google Drive drive.file permission. It accesses
only files and folders created by, opened with, or explicitly shared with the application.
It does not request permission to browse all files in the Google Drive account.
How data is used
Google Drive access is used solely to create backup folders, upload encrypted backup archives, verify uploaded archives, restore requested backups, and apply the configured backup-retention policy.
Storage and security
Backup archives are stored in the account owner's Google Drive. OAuth credentials are stored on CEM infrastructure with access limited to the backup process and its operator. Short-lived access tokens are generated from the OAuth refresh token when required.
Sharing and advertising
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or disclosed to third parties. Data is transferred only between CEM infrastructure and Google Drive to perform backup and restoration operations requested by the account owner.
Retention and deletion
Backup files are retained according to the operator's backup schedule and may be removed when they exceed that schedule. The account owner can delete the application's files in Google Drive at any time.
Your control
The account owner can revoke the application's access from the Google Account connections page. Revocation prevents future access but does not automatically delete backup files already stored in Google Drive.
